    Default Jesus's Tomb Found

Jesus had a son named Judah and was buried alongside Mary Magdalene, according to a new documentary by Hollywood film director James Cameron.

The film examines a tomb found near Jerusalem in 1980 which producers say belonged to Jesus and his family.

Speaking in New York, Jame Cameron said statistical tests and DNA analysis backed this view.

But Mr Cameron's claim has been attacked by archaeologists and theologians as unfounded. Archaeologists said that the burial cave was probably that of a Jewish family with similar names to that of Jesus.

But Mr Cameron said the combination of names found on the tombs convinced him of their heritage.

Israeli construction workers building an apartment complex in Jerusalem's East Talpiot district first uncovered 10 of the 2,000-year-old ossuaries - or limestone coffins - in a tomb in March 1980.

According to the Israel Antiquities Authority, six of those coffins were marked with the names Mary; Matthew; Jesua son of Joseph; Mary; Jofa (Joseph, Jesus' brother); and Judah son of Jesua.

Okay so we know the names are common in that era but the coincidence of the above names all being together!!! and them being over 2000 years old hmmmm

Well I believe there was a Jesus and he was a wonderful and good person and they wrote about him as a hero in what they call the Bible.

    What do you think ?

:stupido2: I'd like to hear the proof elaborated. >_> I mean, what DNA? They already had DNA of Jesus to compare it to? Prove it. He's just making up things.

And all the archeology PROFESSIONALS out there are attacking him for his discovery because it isn't really worth anything.

And like half of Mexico isn't named Jesus as well? He's not the only one in history with that name, in fact, it was a common name already when he was named it. Joshua (someone in the Old Testament) had almost identical names to him although they translated them differently in English. >_>

Unless it says on it,"Jesus who was considered the Christ is buried here with his wife Mary Magdelene" which it would say if it was him, its not him.

Statistical evidence? Did they take in all the people with his same name?

And does it say Mary MAGDELENE on it or just Mary and he's assuming its her? Because he seems to be assuming a lot of things.

Silly people try to prove God to be unreal. I mean, supposedly, scientists proved him to be unreal a long time ago with evolution, but that was just them claiming to do so.

I'll be open-minded and listen to his evidence, but I need it to be elaborated on if its really reliable.

this has been a ongoing issue since the beginning of time unless they is still a living being that was around at the same time as jesus and mary was actually around then nobody will really know whether or not that it is the true family of jesus himself .

so... until all the evidence is proven i am staying neutral on this issue as i am a christian myself
