I can easily remember pre-decimal and sometimes when I'm in the shops still convert things and am absolutely shocked at what they cost. For example when decimal came in a 4 slab kit kat bar was 6d old money - virtually overnight it changed to 6p new money - at least double. Somebody got very rich out of that. I am very interested in coins and have some quite old ones in my possession one even dates back to Elizabeth 1st. Very interesting.
