Right Or Wrong - Challenging Jobs

I'm sorry but if there are clear signs to say that anyone under 25 or suspected of being under 25 will be asked to produce ID and they have got nothing to hide what is there to get so irate over???? You are braver than me Chewy i'd have fallen apart straight away.

I had a guy get angry with me at work because we sent him a refund cheque and he didn't have an account to cash it in.....he said he paid in cash why can't we give him cash back.....we're not allowed because of money laundering rules but I was glad I had someone with me he was very aggressive :( needless to say i was very shakey afterwards

In one way i think its a silly law because you can go into a pub aged 18 and get served beer or spiritsbut i think they are trying to stop the street drinkers so if thats the only way by highering the age of buying it at shops then im all for it the only problem i can see is that some people dont have the proper id like passport driving license or photo id done by the police i think that everyone in the country should be issued with id free. problen solved.you are going to get problems like you had chewy no matter where you work if you gotta deal with the public

I agree. It is difficult dealing with the public but rules are rules especially if, at the end of the day, you are the one who is going to suffer for not adhering to them. It will only be the people trying to get away with it who give you the grief no doubt so once word gets around that you are a hard nut to crack they'll get the message and not bother you again. oh dear that's not good chewy u need 2 b careful i don't think in a place of work that involves alcohol an ciggies etc there should only b 1 member of staff on their own that would'nt happen here i can tell ya peeps just would'nt do it if they have 2 b on there own for a shift there is a security guard there also cos u never no what could happen even r chemists have a security guard

There was Security Guards, but they were useless lol so the company sacked them - they chatted up the female customers while one of our female staff members was being accosted in the car wash and another male customer saved her :)

I'm cool about it now - and I do expect it as I live in a city, and yes 90% of people are flattered, but its the other 10% that do worry me :D lol

yes you guessed it i used to be a security guard and i can with hand on heart say if i was working i would be be lookimng at the candy ,but whenever trouble flared i was 1st in the que to quell it ,that was years ago tho ,and nowadays its not safe to go anywhere is it. better security needed chewy ,cameras ect ect . but saying that cameras dont stop you getting attacked for a few hundred quid do they
