Dedicated to Karen - Crazyeyes

Karen has once again been admitted to hospital.

Her state of mind has become completely unstable and we do not beleive she will be leaving hospital this time.

Her change in personality came out of the blue, she is very delusional, talking incoherently and it is heartbreaking to see.

Her mindset though is one of happiness, not sadness. she belives our dad is with her all the time and talks to him, cuddles him, laughs at him tickling her, and as, you can imagine, is saying and doinng many other things.

Chewy and myself have now got complete parental responsibilty for jess and chris, and have a residence order for the children. They now are living with us permamently.

Karen is still fighting, but sadly, we dont feel she will be with us now much longer.

From the day i initially took her to hospital when we were told she only had a few days to live, she has fought hard. Its now been over 5 weeks. I have been privalidged to have spent some wonderful times with her during this time, including making snowmen and having snowball fights. The pictures and memories will be with us forever..

sadly, the longleat trip that had been organised for her, us, and the children will now not be going ahead ( i know how much she was looking forward to that :( )

I am sorry that i have only made two posts so far in this thread, but as you can imagine, typing this out is incredibly hard to do and im not scared to admit that i have tears rolling down my cheeks as I type.

She has been one of the best things that has ever to me in my life, and i love her dearly. During this traumatic time, we have laughed together, cried together, had some of the most difficult conversations ive ever had to have, and shes even comforted me when shes seenn im upset.

She is so brave and strong, and her courage throughout all of this has been commendable.

On a final note, if you have loved ones, tell them each and every day that you love them, because one day it may be to late.

I asked once before that you say a prayer for her, and i ask you to do so again.

As always Magic you are all in my thoughts and prayers. So sad that a family should be hit by such tragedy. How lucky you are though to have had all the special moments - I know that must sound a cliche but some people never have the chance to tell their loved ones how they really feel. Sadly for you and Tracey your struggle is only just beginning because you are going to have to be very strong for the children when the time comes. They know it's going to happen but when it becomes a reality it will suddenly become a different matter. For the sake of everybody I hope that Karen won't have to suffer for too long. She is obviously a wonderful lady with a very iron will. God bless you all and give you the strength you need to see this through. My heart really does go out to all of you. X

heartbroken thats all i can say its devasting to hear this ,i will say a prayer for karen and for the whole family my thoughts are with you all and thanks for keeping us informed and shareing the pictures with us all xxxx noel

thank you for the update , i will say a prayer for karen and yes think how lucky u are to have met a great sister magic xxx and u too chewyxxx, i know ull do agreat job of looking after the children together xxx

i think we all think that to hope mums stays strong and as we all know shes fighting away and still the same as per usual farting, being cheeky and so on hehe thats just mum for ya.
well the only time tony and tracy have seen me cry is once i dont really cry much but when the time does cry i proberly will cry more often cause the fact that i wont have a mum any more. but unfortenly life is life and theres nothing we can do about that. i love my mum to bits so hoping shes fighting away for just a little bit longer. thank you tony and tracy for being there for me and letting me and chris stay with you. xx

My thoughts are with you all.

Chocolate, I too have no mum, she died when i was 27 from lung cancer. Then my Dad died when I was 30 which was 6months ago now, from lung cancer again. My mum never knew and it was very sudden, but my dad found out 8weeks before he passed. We were all there by his side and it was so very peaceful. He opened his eyes 30seconds before he went, looked at us all and went. I believe that was his goodbye to us.
Dont be afraid of not being there when it happens cos you will be.

Im saying this because of your comment on crying, please dont hold it in. If you wanna cry then cry! it helps, believe me. I cry 10 thousand tears still nearly everyday and i always fell 100% better for doing so :)
dont be afraid to let your feelings out. I am here for anyone who wants to talk about it, I do know what u r feeling right now. I do know what u r going thru. Please if i can help, let me.
