Hi all just wondered if any body else has has problem's with a telephone company called TALK TALK,
Because I have, I payed my bill throught their automated system, £60 thought it would be quicker and easier than going to the shop's, even though a dd was meant to be made up, and they couldn't even get that right.
Well I payed the bill, waited a few days then phoned them up, as my line was still only accepting incoming calls, well after waiting for an hour at a time on there lovely waiting list, playing two songs repeating themself's, and I even had a poem read to me, which seemed like a childen's story to be honest, they finally answered, and told me that they have had problem's with their automated system, but nothing was said no message was left to say this.
The man told me that they haven't been receiving the payments through the automated system and therefore I should pay the bill to him there and then, off course I didnt have the money to do this, but firmly replyed "well why should I, I have just payed the bill through your automated system"
He said well the money will be back with u in a week, it has been a week and one day, with still no sign of the £60 that I payed to them.
I am considering contacting watchdog to see what they say about this, the man also told me quite a few people have had the same problem as me, well so much for a great company, if they new that they had a problem I have no idea why nothing has been done about it.
So if you are with talk talk please take my advive, do not use there automated system, in fact i am actually thinking about leaving them as i have had nothing but trouble from the start.
well i was with them but i had to change as they were charging me for broadband when i had payed a one of payment of 30 pounds for it. so i left them and went to bt.
I was with bt to start with, must admit didnt really have a problem with them, but i was trying for ages to change my phone to a normal bill rather than the pay as u go bill as it got to expensive so thought changing would be cheaper, and also broadband was with the package of £16.99 a month. But now I have this problem.
im a hundred and nineteen pound for 3 month with bt
well i have bt vision option 3 with unlimited broadband @ a cost of 35 quid a month , .plus calls. well i dont use the phone till after 6 or in emergencys as i have my mobile, .to cut a long story short i was paying 75 quid a quarter for my broadband and 62 quid amonth for my phonecalls
when i asked about this i was told i had 2 line rental charges.1 for my broadband and 1 for my phone ,i asked wtf was going on and was told if i didnt need 2 lines as i should be using my bt hub phone which is free .upto 59 mins a time .hang up redial thats 27/7 . so why am i paying 250 a quarter then i asked? we dont know they said.....
my broad band will be 24,99 a month and my line rental will be 11,75 totaling 36.74 .if its any higher ill be on the phone to them again.....i cant change as i signed a 12 month contract in april ....
Cheeky aren't I
i will be changing to virgin next year as they are supposed to be cheap as i think im being riped off with bt lol
We are with Virgin - Cable (and if you are able to get cable in your area I would say go for it) We have the maximum broadband 20meg, maximum TV package and free telephone calls any time to 01 or 02 numbers and only pay £55. a month - I don't think anyone can do it cheaper - and the service is brilliant.
BT pfft - Magz and I had horrendous trouble with them and would never go back to them.
I had talk talk on the phone for 5 nights in a row trying to make me change to them. It was very hard to convince them that I was not interested. (I have friends who wish they had never made the change over to talk talk!). They were very persistent and in the end I just had to be extremely rude to get rid of them. Obviously good commission rates on that firm!
Update on my lost money....went to the bank to get a statement as thats what talk talk said they needed, and poffffffffffff pammmmmmm pong its gone nowhere to be seen on the statement no moeny has gone out or come in, the £60 that did show up on there computer last week and on my mini statement has vanished... should be interesting to see what happen's next...
Virgin are the best i pay £32 a month for 20mb broadband and the phone aswell Well worth the money
