NHS Prescriptions in Wales were scrapped in April 2007, now in the news Northern Ireland is also scrapping the prescription charge by 2010, but firstly taking the charge down to £3 by January 2009. Scotland is also planning to scrap the charge.
I must admit it is very annoying to hear that people who have to take drugs/tablets to sustain or make their lives better have to pay for the privilege - shouldn't this type of treatment be free, after all isn't that why we are paying our National Insurance.
Is there now hope for England to scrap the Prescription Charges?
