    Have just been reading the local news report and I'd just like to know what you all think about this woman being sacked by Asda over her child using her employee discount card to save 2p??

    Store Sacks Mum For Sake Of 2p (from Bournemouth Echo)

    I personally think this is totally over the top reaction by Asda. It seems like a mistake on the daughters behalf which I think a verbal or even written warning would be enough.

    whatever the rules say n whatever they sign,to call it gross misconduct is a joke(and not the funny type either)its 2p,which is nothing,and she didnt even know her daughter had done it or taken her card-thats ridiculous that is-if she'd deliberately got her daughter to do it to get £20 off sumthin,fair enuf,but 2p without knowin her daughter even had her card?thats just wrong the way they seem to have treated her,feel rlly sorry for her
