Lots of people support a club or several clubs. Some people like football, others like cycling, cricket, swimming, hockey, basketball etc.
Tell us what sports you like to watch and most of all what team(s) do you support. Tell us why you like them and show us something about the team, player or whatever like a picture or a movie. Share anecdotes about visits you might have made or a match you remember.
My favourite sport to watch is football. The team I support is Feyenoord and they play in stadium "De Kuip" in Rotterdam.
I have a season ticket and mostly see all games they play at home and try to watch the away games on digital tv.
I have worked at the stadium as steward for like 5 years (checking tickets, frisking people, trying to maintain order) and that included also the European Championships Football in 2000, concerts like for instance U2 and national games from The Netherlands.
This year my club Feyenoord exists 100 years and they had some activities like "de Feest van de Eeuw" (= Feast of the century)
and a tournament with the clubs Borusisa Dortmund (Uefa cup looser), Spurs (Uefa cup looser) and Celtic (European Cup looser now known as Champions League).
So they all lost a final in the past against Feyenoord.
Well known former Feyenoord players active in the Premier League in England now are: Dirk Kuijt (Liverpool), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Salomon Kalou (Chelsea) and also some players that used to play in England were John de Wolf (Wolves), Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Arsenal now Feyenoord), Jerzy Dudek (Liverpool), Ed de Goey (Chelsea) and many others.
For more information you can have a look at http://www.feyenoord.com

This Fox might out trick you but that does not mean I don't care

Like bib, I am an arm chair supporter most of the time. I support Liverpool & Celtic, I do manage to get to Celtic Park sometimes, & I like most sports apart from Golf & Tennis.
Why do you like the Olympics so much and what are your favourite sports because the Olympics have so many.
What is your favourite player? Been to a game you will never forget?
Would be nice to know a bit more about why you all like it and to see some anecdotes, movies, pictures or anything that would perhaps make us understand why you like it and became a supporter![]()

My dad introduced me to Snooker and Cricket.
I used to watch them when I was very young and enjoy now and again watching the semi/finals. Steve Davis was my favourite in Snooker and Andrew Flintoff in Cricket.
I loved anything to do with car's too - Top Gear was one of my favourite TV shows, Formula 1, Rally Driving, etc. I even went to Silverstone to watch Drag Racing - which was totally awesome.
I'd say I was pretty much an all rounder really, I will watch Tennis (my mum's influence), and the Olympics - especially the track sports like running.
Hi Foxy. In answer to your question - I enjoy the Olympics because it never ceases to amaze my how records can continually be broken and, obviously, I am a full-on England supporter!! The events I particularly enjoy are the swimming and diving, rowing and gymnastics.
By the way Chewy - the one sport I cannot tolerate is cricket!!! What's that all about. My husband is a fanatic but to me it's glorified tip and run!!! SORRY TO ALL YOU CRAZY CRICKET FANS OUT THERE.
Actually, I always thought that about Cricket until the game was explained to me.
It's not just about chucking a ball and whacking it, it's about the spins, and how they throw it, how fast and tactics.
There are some fantastic batters and throwers in cricket - perhaps if your husband sat you down and explained the rules - you understand the game more and perhaps you might even enjoy it.
There are some great characters in Cricket too - look at Ian Botham - everyone knows him :)
Psst I wouldn't say I was an avid fan - but now and again it's nice to keep up with it and who's playing - I do especially like the really big matches.
Did you know there are two theories of where cricket originated ...
1. Shepherds, as early as the 10th century in the South-west of England. Used a club and a stone or woollen ball to play. The word ‘wicket’ might have come from the ‘wicket-gates’ that were used as a target for the person throwing the stone or the ball.
2. The game was imported into England from the Punjab region of South Asia, where bat and ball games were being played since the 8th century. Games like Gilli-Danda and Polo, played in that region, might have the same ancestral background.
Predominantly a children’s game for a long time until it was taken up by adults around the start 17th century. Where is was then promoted as a ‘gentlemen’s game’.
See proof int he pudding - men are BIG KIDS LOL
Interesting stuff there but soz, I think it would still send me to sleep!!!! Just as well we don't like the same thing isn't it?
It's nice that we all like different things - what a boring world it would be LOL. Magz and I have things in common, but I can't see him coming to Pilates with me LOL
Isn't he game to try something different - just once??!!
