Aww, I did that once.
I saved a Black & White Collie, called Badger, he was gorgeous, he was in desperate need of a brush and no word of a lie I got 3 carrier bags full from him. He was pegged out in a field and the owner had died and no one bothered with him.
He slept on my bed and most of the time kicked me out of it hahaha - very dependable and loyal.
He was a lovely dog, but I was taking him for a walk 3 times day and he was still so energetic. Eventually I moved and where I was going I couldn't take him, so I found him a home on a farm - consequently he sits on the tractor and is more of a home dog than a farm dog, but the owners now love him to bits and he is happy :)
I'm sure you will love having your dog, foxy, they are like having another child you get to love them as much too.
Good luck hun, and well done - it's nice to know that there are animal lovers out there saving animals rather than wanting just puppies :)
