Pastor's Business Card

A new pastor was visiting the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious someone was at home, but no-one answered his repeated knocks at the door.

He left his business card with the note 'Revelations 3:20' scribbled on the reverse.

When the Church offering was processed the following Sunday, he found his card among the various offering with an equally cryptic message, 'Genesis 3:10.'

Reaching for his Bible to check the citation, he broke out in gales of laughter.


Revelations 3:20 begins 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock.'


Genesis 3:10 reads, 'I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked.'
