Concerts

Throughout my younger years (hahaha - no comments please) I have been to some fantastic concerts.

The first Concert I ever attended was Billy Idol at Birmingham NEC, other include:-

Dire Straits - Birmingham NEC

AC/DC - Birmingham NEC

Yes - Birmingham NEC

Genesis- Knebworth (Lisa Stansfield)

1990 Monsters of Rock - Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Poison, Quireboys, Thunder

1991 Monsters of Rock - AC/DC, Metallica, Motley Crue, Queensryche,
The Black Crowes

Brian Adams - Wembly Arena (The Who, Jools Holland)

Gosh probably alot more (memory isn't as good as it used to be lol) - I also saw alot of the above bands more than once.





*Thinking do I mention the Tweenies - Birmingham NEC hahahahaha)

As you can see as a child growing up I was very much into my "Rock" - now a days I love all sorts of music eg, Celine Dion, Andrea Botticelli, Beethoven (lots of Classical), 60's Soul (and Bobby Goldsborough), 70's (Carpenters), 80's, R&B, Pop, in fact I'll pretty much listen to anything except songs where you can't understand what they are saying lol

Okay, okay I like listening to Radio 2 - so what - Wogan is quite funny in the mornings hahahahaha and they do play some new up-to-date music too :P

Being one of the senior hubbers, lol, I have seen loads of concerts in my lifetime. People like The Beatles, Billy Fury, The Hollies, The Fortunes, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Freddie & The Dreamers, Scott Walker, The Paper Dolls, The Gun, Terry Reid, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton ( 7 times), Dire Straits ( 4 Times ), Vince Gill, Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, Carl Perkins, Dino Washington & The Ram Jam Band, Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore, Emmylou Harris & The Hot Band, Bill Wymans Rhythm Kings, The Rolling Stones, and many more. When I was younger I used to spend all my wages on going to see the top groups in concert. My favourite must be going to The Isle of Wight when Bob Dylan played, or maybe The Stones in Hyde Park.

Well I have been to Queen now as well and also to Stevie Wonder and here are some picturess I made there. Also one for the Dutch band Doe Maar

Queen + Paul Rodgers: Rock on Queen, even if Freddy is gone. He will be in my heart forever. And what guitar play from Brian May. Fantastic.



Hope you like them. I certainly enjoyed the concerts. Would not have missed them for the world.

I have seen quite a few in my time - I really envy CJ seeing Bob Dylan at the Isle of Wight - my parents wouldn't let me go. I loved him!!! One of the most recent concerts (if you can call it that) was the Schools Prom at the Royal Albert Hall. My daughter was singing with a Dorset Schools Choir - Carl Jenkins' Adeamus. It was fabulous. The talent of all the youngsters performing was outstanding - some of them could certainly be entertaining at concerts in the future.
