How to write a poem

Thank you and well done Noel.

I do have to tell something that I did and this is also a very important thing when you write letters, poetry, stories or even on forums like this.

A spelling error can be made, but if you have doubts about it use a dictionary online for instance, I do as well and have a Firefox browser dictionary add on as well that helps me when replying to posts or on forums like this.

However what I mostly saw in your poem was that you use a lot of parts where you combine two words into one, be sure you use this ' sign in that case.

An example why (before I edited your poem), this was written: ill
Now it says I'll. As you see this is a big difference in the meaning of both words.

Also the use of capitals makes it easier for others to read.

This is not just for Noel, but a tip to all. Things that needs to be read by others, should look nice and correctly written.

Children


We have children, and watch them grow,
We watch them in the garden if and when we have snow,
Time seems to go by so fast,
Before you know it they're washing their cars,

Soon in their life they will have kids,
Then you're back to square one babysitting theirs,
All of the joy of watching them grow,
Will then end in them watching you get old,

The tables will then be turned around,
So they are looking after you and watching you frown,
Washing your hair or feeding you,
You then might start feeling a little blue,

The moral of the story you may ask,
Is life too short to be so sad,
Jump at the chance that life will throw,
Because before you know it you will be too old.

A family holiday for a week or two,
Fun and laughter, joy ever after.
Sitting giggling, playing tickling,
Being loving if only for awhile,

Mother watching with a smile,
Brother, sister playing "whispers"
Having fun whilst away from home
wish this moment would never end

To write poem is the internal feelings of others...
