BBC investigates fake Stig

The BBC has launched an investigation after it was revealed that a fake Stig is travelling the UK and posing with 'Top Gear' fans.

The man, who dresses identically to the mystery driver, travels in a convoy of cars labelled with the programme's logo, reports The Sun.

'Top Gear' fan Martin Perzylo told the paper that he followed 'The Stig' into a service station to ask for a photograph and the imposter even crossed his arms in The Stig's trademark pose.

He said: "I was so close to him I thought I was going to see his face. He began to take his helmet off. One of his bodyguards saw me and pushed The Stig's helmet back on.

"I was convinced it was him. He had all the official branding."

A BBC spokesperson said: "It would appear there is an imposter going round pretending to be The Stig. An inquiry will be launched - we want to find out who it is.

"We do have a ‘Top Gear’ live tour but it is not on until November. This man is nothing to do with the television programme."

But can he drive as good as the real Stig

Lol now everyone is still wondering who the real Stig is .. other stars have look-a-likes why shouldn't Stig - he's famous who ever he is.

And no it isn't Michael Shumacher like everyone thought lol The BBC and Top Gear said in one of their programs that they are not revealing who Stig is yet - watch this space
