We've actually had some snow :) not much really but they've still closed the schools - most of them at lunchtime - not looking forward to the big freeze tonight though

I was the sensible one and stayed inside in the warm :D .. I took a friend, across the way, to Morrisons shopping yesterday, her husband is waiting to have a brain tumour removed and they are now car-less. William has been in and out all day playing with her kids and other kids on our estate - snowmen made and kicked down and lots of snowball fights :)
I havent been anywhere im staying warm lol i tell a lie lol i went outside around the back cos we got proper ski slopes here an i watched loads coming down them an i stood an watched all the kids haveing great fun coming down the bank at the edge of the rugby field they was useing bustbin lids hehe
Extremely bad weather indeed! I did not have much fun in the snow yet, but had lots of fun watching the snow along with Rasmus. The weather did a lot of damage over here and it might still get worse. When Rasmus and his Dad were going to come here from Kiev, the airport was closed down and it was a great miracle to see my friend arrive safe and sound. The last few days of 2009, after my birthday and after Christmas it was even worse! There was no electricity for two days and it was terribly cold. I had to wear all the clothes i could find and it was only +11°c in the room. I am glad i did not catch a cold!
Rasmus had more happy experience with the snow so far and for some reason he likes to eat snow and can eat a lot if you do not stop him in time! I hope that the snowball fights and snowmen are still to come for us since the snow keeps falling all the time. I have never seen so much snow in my life yet! And the schools here are all closed, but i know that the family i am staying with still goes to work in the international sea port. Maybe when i get better and when Rasmus gets enough rest after the flight from Kiev, we will find an old lady and help her out with something. That would be great!
Guess we've been quite lucky in North Dorset. Our village hasn't seen a gritter - you certainly take your life in your hands if you get the car out because it's just like driving on a skating rink. The road is solid pack ice. However, once you get out of the village the roads are fine. I get sooooooo mad when we pay £183 council tax a month. We don't even have a village shop so we have to venture out to get supplies. It's ludicrous. It's forecast to be extremely cold here again this evening - I shall soon be tucked up in bed with my hot water bottle and a good book - the very best place to be!!! Nite all. xxx
it will be interesting to see what happens this weekend as the next volley is due in, i have to admit i feel sorry for the beggers in scottyland, up to -20? ekkkkkk. we can handle the low tempratures but by god when you get the wind aswell................................ lol makin me cold just thinking about it.
p.s lowest temp i've had going to work so far at 5:50 a.m is minus 7.2
Brrr sounds really cold, Mooosey! Make sure you dress warm! They promise -22°C over here at the end of the upcoming week, but i doubt it will get THAT cold. Now all is icy and i do not risk going outside without adults. But i am glad to sit in the warm attic and take care of Rasmus.
