i turned over when they were showing that julie as its so touching ....my son went in is red man utd kit and they did penny trails and made a joke book by each children writing a joke if they wanted ! then adults could buy the book every little helps :) and i agree 5 pound was abit too much!
My daughter and her 3 Uni house mates went in pairs tied up by arms and legs from 10am - 10pm. They did get some sponsors but also walked (3-legged style) round Uni and Bath collecting. All in all I think they probably raised about £300. I can assure you they were very relieved to get their own identities back after 12 hours and - there was probably a queue for the loo!!!! I very much enjoyed the show last night. So many of the films had me in tears but the one which touched me most was of the young lad who was a carer for his parents (who both had sight problems) and his younger brother. We cannot begin to believe all the problems in Africa and I appreciate the need for the mosquito nets and everything but my husband and I both agree that contraception and safe sex should really be at the top of the agenda. If there was far more education about the AIDS situation and control over the numbers of children born we are sure alot of their problems could be reduced. All very heartbreaking none-the-less - I think it's time some of our own kids began to realise just how lucky they are.
I agree they need safe sex, i agree fiver alot of money, but i think u should all sponsor me a tenner lmao.
Dylan went in red to school and we donted some money :) We always do.
