School Holidays

Its nearly here,

Those long school summer holidays.

For those of you with children, what are you planning to do to keep the kids amused this year.

Use this thread to bounce idea and tips around to make for a stress free Summer holiday :)

Argghhh! summer holidays hate them big time! mine have got holiday club for the first week, 2 hrs in morning monday to friday, few activities going on where i live, just couple of hrs here and there, mine all going camping 10th to 16th august - yeyyyyyy! its kenans and bbw's birthday 20th and 26th july. just hope damn weather warms up cos then i can take them park and they can go in paddling pool at park :D

Well the school holidays dont affect me at all.. but i got something for you to ponder about on 16th july every year since i was little it has rained yups since i was very little.... wonder if this year the weather will change.. i should really put a bet on at the bookies coz it never fails.. id probs be rich by now looooool watch out for the date and weather (watch it make me out to be a liar) lol

Tips hmmm okay lets think ...

Well I've got some activity books for William to do on Animals, Space, Egypt and Bugs. If we have a nice day I will take him up Robinswood Park and nature Reserve and go bug hunting, taking his book.

As you know we have all got new bikes, so I will take William out on bike rides - bit of rain never hurt anyone lol - I hope we have some sunny days.

Magz has a week off, so hopefully we will be going camping :)

If it rains, then I will get the paints out, drawings, arts and sticking stuff, perhaps makes some cakes with William, play on the Wii and PC, take him to see Elaine (on our Bikes hehehe)

Obviously sometime over the holidays I will have Leone and Kyle - picnic's spring to mind :D

haha the dreaded school holidays....turf them out after breakfast as if they were going to school , keeps them from under your feet and stops the nagging all day with can i. will u. wont u ,do this. do that. good luck to those with little uns . u need sea and sand .parks and swings , get them tired so they fall asleep lol , gives u a bit of peace.

yep the summer holidays are nearly here ....if the weather nice park n picnics , bike rides as we all have bikes , meeting up with friends , going to my sisters etc ......... going on holiday for 2 weeks too yippeeeeee , my friends and kid are coming from holland too which im excited about !!

i think you parents might be in for a long summer ,with the weather not being upto much the kids might get bored ever so quickly ,so u gonna need to be on your toes.good luck

Well, not having any kids at home it doesn't make a blind bit of difference to me! lmao! But we will probably have the grandkids at some time, so it's possibly park, cinema & whatever comes around.
