a new drink

back in january pops (my dad lol) had a heart bypass , now hes on the mend, and part of his rehabilitation is that he sees a dieation , after a few weeks he was asked if he drank and how much.....his reply was a 2/3 cans a night....but not every night hearing this they told him each pint was equivilent to 1 mars bar,so the question is how many mars bars have you had tonight lol...pops is in his 60s and working and says if he can have a beer when he comes home from work...thanks for taking time out of your day to read this post.ttfn

I dont really drink very much, and prefer a glass f wine. I dont like beer or lager :)

Southern comfort is my favourite drink ( pity it makes me go loopy lol )

in moderation with heart probs drink is ok but its a silly way to look at.. saying 1 drink is like one mars bar... because mars bars have fat which deposits on the vessels round your heart.. there pretty wrong putting it that way... drink in moderation isnt bad for you even with an heart condition..

anyway noel its good to hear your dad is on the mend send him our best xx

i used to drink alot about 10 years back but got so bad i gave it up, my favourite drink used to be vodka or bacardi with coke at that time.

glad to hear your dad's doing well noel my own son has just gone through heart surgery himself at the tender age of 14 but we are not sure whether it was the right choice now due to alot of complications that have arisen from it.

give your dad our love and best wishes for a speedy recovery

my favourite drink has to be vodka with something, cant drink it straight. also like pernod, carribean twists. only drink about once a week if that.

red wine i hate and done find a decent white wine that i like very often lol

tend to stay clear of southern comfort and coke, last time i drank that i was ill - thanks to mr mad lol

First of all I think the dietitian meant that a beer has the same amount of calories as a mars bar.

Secondly I am not much of a drinker myself so I rather have the mars bar hehe, but at a party or meeting I do like to drink a beer or a mix like red bull/red vodka or bacardi/coke.

and im not going to comment on the amount drunk, I very rarely drink thru the week when I have my daughter with me, so sadly i fall in to the " binge drinker " stats because i do my drinking at a weekend
