Insects in your Chocolate

Did you know that the average chocolate bar in the U.S. contains at least 8 pieces of an insect in it? Harvesting of the cacao beans occurs in the tropical countries of South America with low sanitation levels. Cacao tree beans are cut and piled in the farmer's field where they ferment for 6 days. During this process, children and adults walk over the piles; insects, rodents, small animals and other living things that make their nests in the piles. Actually the The U. S. Department of Health publishes a book entitled "The Food Defect Action Levels" in which they list unavoidable defects in food (insect, rodents etc.) all allowed by FDA.

Mind you think about this............

Bottle drinks in pubs...... stored in cellers, and warehouse's there not the cleanest of places....... with rodents often found in warehouse's...... that are known to be incontinent...... kind of puts you off drinking bottled drinks!

But also remember we have chocolates from abroad imported here too... yak glad im not a chocolate eater... and i totally agree gez i wont drink out of bottles not even from supermarket a shop i worked in had mice in the back so yups drinking from bottles is off my agenda too..

First of all bugs are pretty healthy and if you want to know another fact

Try finding out how many bugs you eat while you are asleep and for the women who are scared of spiders. Yes some spiders are eaten while we are asleep as well...

So don't eat anything and don't sleep or...eat bugs filled with protein, give me stuff I do not see any time

one thing though... IF you knew how everythin you eat is processed you wouldnt eat at all not even vegetables trust me, when ya have a coffee at a shop where they grind the coffee and make an expresso, there are loads of insects grinded together with it lol if ya eat out also ya dont know whats goin on in the kitchens in restaurants and bars... how sausages are made how alot of stuff are made lol.... so eatin chocolate or not is relative considering that most of the food you put in yer mouth prolly had the same treatment or worse and think that the chocolate is cooked lol everythin that is cooked is already clean too :P plus bugs have proteins hahaha

I think I will melt the chocolate and eat you all as you seem to be a delicacy in some countries, especially with chocolate dip.

It's a buggy world, face it, we type on programs with bugs every day, we eat bugs, we sleep with them, we let them eat parts of our body, we let Disney and Dreamworks make movies about them etc.

I want chocolate bars...I want honey...without bugs life ain't buzzing and ain't funny
