As I sat on the shore
looking out to sea
wonderful fantasies
washed over me

The sky clear blue
fluffy clouds in the air
its just so peaceful
everywhere

The waves curling up
crashing down on the sand
leaving beautiful shells
to gather by hand

The sun brightly shining
down upon me
leaving rays of sunlight
across the sea

Birds were soaring high above
and then I heard the
coo of a dove

A perfect Earth I can see
what a beautiful sight in my fantasy

I sat there silently
with my mind at peace
not a care in the world
at the moment at least

I hope I was able to share
this moment with you.
So that you can share
this fantasy too!

Seems your father left a part of his artistic skills to you.

And then Prince Mio, 14 years old, Swedish and writing poetry like this in English, makes me warm inside even though the topics mostly are sad. You are such a talented writer and you know exactly how to bring your emotions to this thread.

Keep it up you two. Also the rest that contribute to this thread, it makes me happy seeing people make the effort and notice that it is fun to try but also that poetry can give your emotions a place.

Keep on posting your poetry in here and to all, don't worry about it if it is not as good or that there might be spelling errors in it. It is all about the story behind it and the fun or freedom it provides

A Corridor

I didn't know the language and couldn't pick the words
I saw the people running just like atoms under zoom
I couldn't say exactly and explain just where it hurts
I couldn't say what hotel, what resort, the floor or room.
I can remember faces just like pictures in a book
Next moment all was fading just like footprints upon sand
The taste of medication and injections that I took
And Thai lady speaking gently while holding on my hand.
The corridor and people, different countries, different lands
The tears and countless questions mixed up in one big cry
And complete strangers quickly were becoming your best friends
And everyone was thanking God for He helped to survive.
And there right in the distance, I saw my mamma run
I couldn't cry or call her for all was filled with blood
But still I knew she was alive, I knew she wasn't gone
And later she and pappa promised we will never be apart.
The corridor, you tell me, why these times just come to head
I'm lying just the same in bed, but there is silence all around
And from the promises we've made and all we trusted, all we had
There's only word that's left which hardly makes a sound...

Take me far away to the secret land
Without anger and all of this screaming
Where everyone is not an enemy, but friend
If not, then I can go on dreaming...
Take me to the distant skies above my head
Take me where no one has ever been
Find a way so I can become worthy for my dad
To help me fight, so I never give in.
Take me to the place where eagles fly
Where nobody curses and betrays
Where nobody spanks you, makes you cry
Where all good and shiny always stays.
Think that I've found secret place
Where all of these things have place to be
Out of the million countless paths and ways
Only way that's right is THG! :)

A tribute to Stevvy (title,not part of the poem)

He is a listener like me
Always willing to hear someone's sad song
Asking them what is wrong
Even if he feels sad himself you see

That is why I think he is a coloured leaf
Drifting between the age of inexperience
Hiding his own grief
The one that hurt him is surely a thief

A thief of the true guy he really is

those lines are very accurate,the last line i show there is definitely accurate

Like a rock on a deserted island
Weighted down and all alone
Like a glove without a hand
Empty inside, looking for that missing thing


Living a life that doesnt feel right
Too scared to break free
Doing the right thing by staying
But is it right for me and kids three

Doubts in your mind
A voice telling you to be happy
A new lease of life can i find
Can i listen better to the quiet voice

Life moves on, where do the years go
One day rolls into the next
The warmth of a strong love
To stop feeling like this is wrong

A love of precious
cuddles, kisses and smiles
To look at one another
Feeling your heart beating fast

A kiss planted in my heart

THG brought your friendship to me, what a gift to know you
In no time our friendship grew, now we chat and care too
Gentleness, smiles, emotional words upon the screen
Got you in my life, sent from above you just appeared
Every bit of you is kind, sensitive, loving and true
Really glad to have a friend so special, yes TIGGER thats you.

I wandered Loneley as a cloud.......
best not type that, im not allowed
but in THG, i visit each day,
to see what new things people have to say

Theres fun and games, and laughter too
in fact theres so many things that you can do
When feeling high or feeling low
The freindly people know just what to do.

They lift your spirits when you are down
They turn your frowns, UPSIDE DOWN
