Note that the bet pays out on or after 9pm on the 18th
If left open untill the last day, you have an obvious advantage of guessing the winner, depending who is at the top of the leaderboard.

Re: Who willl win 'The Open' golf tournament? We're not bookies who pay out large sums of real money. I decided to do it this way, and for any other future golf bets (or tennis, or whatever sport) all betting will end before the start of the event, as they always have.
