In this thread the idea is to mention your favourite movie and tell us why, then the next one needs to tell if he or she has seen it and then add a new movie he or she likes with the reason. So eventually we will get a small overview of favourite movies and people also can look at this thread to get some inspiration about what to download.
One of my favourite movies is The Green Mile
The reason why I like it is because first of all I think Tom Hanks is one of the best actors around.
However the movie has everything like action, science fiction, great acting and a superb story. One of the best parts is when John Coffey (just like the drink, only spelled different) arrives at their jail. At first you only see the truck and then when he gets out, the truck's springs lift up because of the weight loss and then you see that tall dark dude. Also I like the mouse a lot.
This Fox might out trick you but that does not mean I don't care

seen the green mile, good film good acting ,good story line, 1 you can follow easy , and 1 you can take your partner to without being a bit of a girly.
1 of my favorite movies is aliens...i know its a shoot em up kinda movie.
but in my opinion the fx are great and it gets me wondering .........cos in my opinion there must be life out there. and thats another debate altogether lol

Greenmile made me really think how sometime the judicial system gets it wrong and how lots of inocent people suffer - also made me think about God and the gifts people have.
Aliens I watched when I was about 15 years old - loved the strong willed, independant Sigorny Weaver - funny it makes me jump more now than it did then (at 15 yrs old) lol
But I have to say my all time favourite film has to be "Pretty Woman" - deep down I want the fairytale.
Julia Roberts and Richard Gere are too great actors. Some really good songs throughout the film.
My favourite bit is when she is in the lift :D - you'll have to watch it to see what I mean :D

My Weepie film has goto be ghost... and titanic...
i like weepy films anyway but for ghost i was still grieving over my sons dad who id lost to a motorbike accident when it come out... i watched it every night for a week when it come out on vid... and still love the film ...
i guess been a romantic sorta gal i loved titanic for the lost love too ;)

This is also one of mf fav movies .I had read the books only 6 months befor the movie came out. The book was released as 7 mini books in the u.s one every other month.So it took me a while to finish it.The movie was dead on wich is unusuall for a Stephen king novel.Only a few have stuck to the book,I.E Pet Cemetry,Stand By Me,Fire Starter.But my favorite of all time has to be Shawahank Redemtion.

All great films, its hard to pick just one of my favourites, so im goin to to with Director,
Im a huge fan of Tarantino films, loved pulp fiction and many more,
Im a more blood guts gore the better, Love gangsta movies,
Another one of my favourite films, Trainspotting tho now for personal reasons i struggle to watch the film without tears streaming down my face, while I remember a friend I lost in a simular situation

My oldtime favourite is Blade with Wesley Snipes, which is already a huge reason to watch the movie. But the main reason is that I like vampire movies

I have lots of favourite movies but I think I will go for AI (Artificial Intelligence).
It is about a young boy robot taken on by a family when their own child goes into a coma. The movie charts how the boy robot eventually starts to feel real human emotion and loves his new mother very much and is devastated when they seperate. His search for his "mother" takes him thousands of years into the future of Earth.
This film always makes me cry and the emotion involved in the movie is amazing.
