Re: x-factor 2009 Well it just makes a mockery of the whole 'race to the christmas number 1' stuff, because every year you know the x-factor winner will get it. Back in the 80s/90s you'd get good christmassy songs as the number 1, now you just have a tv winner singing a song that's probably just a cover of a previous song and getting it, and they only get it because they won a tv show at the right time of year, and which is deliberately timed to finish when it does every year.

Re: x-factor 2009 We were only talking about it the other day to our daughter actually. We heard the tune ""Wheels" and remembered that guy Tony somebody, I think, who used to paint his body gold and wiggle his muscles in time with the music!! Quite a few stars came from that programme - Lena Zavaroni (who sadly died), I think Lenny Henry. Can you name any more?
