well i have been busy with course work and due to finish my level 2 course to becoming a teaching assistant i will know the results during the summer which i am dreading lol.

I have also started going to the gym to improve my physical health which is a 16 week fitness programme twice a week :) it is going great it will hopefully boost my confidence as well, i have already lost some weight in the last month as well which has helped and look forward to actually going now lol.

the time has been going so quick since the kids have been back at school i just can't believe its only 3 more weeks til they break up for the summer holidays but we are having a well deserved break for a week with my family which is going to be great.

since christmas i haven't been very well with constant chest infections :( 5 weeks seems a bit extreme even for me to put up with it, we had a peaceful christmas thankfully after the long trip to all the families we travelled down to see and drop off and pick up pressies from and coming back on christmas eve and needing to sort everything out for the morning.
the kids were so excited on x mas morning but found the stockings in their room empty hehe (not my idea) they found the stockings under the tree eventually 2 hours later lol.

we all went out on a bike ride in the cold icy weather the kids thought it was great fun we were all wrapped up with our hats gloves and scarves on lol i was completely frozen when we got back lol haven't been out on them again yet.

kids loved going back to school as they missed seeing all their friends and i was glad of the break lol as they had started to get bored after sarah's birthday on the 1st of january she loved her birthday pressie as well as getting money in her cards.

i went back to college last week as well which i am really enjoying i qam hoping to go back to school on friday fingers crossed i am feeling better now and hopefully wont be coming down with anymore infections soon

well not much else to say at the minute but as soon as i can i will update again

i am waiting on podiatry now to see what they can do with my scar tissue on the bottom of my foot as the lazer treatment didnt work on it, but on the plus side my ankle is finally better. also waiting on referral for physio treatment on my back as well, hopefully wont need to wait to long for that to come through. well i know christmas is only a couple of weeks away now lol i am not prepared for it at all this year lol, it just seems to get more expensive each year, i want to give the kids things they want but dont seem to have the funds to buy them for them :( ooh well hopefully i'll sort something out even though i know they'll be happy with whatever they get :)

right up until the beginning of this week it has been hectic to say the least with 3 course and physio i haven't had time to sit still for long, my placement in school is going really well and i am enjoying it alot.

i did 2 days in school due to missing one day and helped the children prepare for their harvest festival at the church :)

and on friday they did all about diwali and made cards as well as candle holders to celebrate the religious side of it.

this week i am still as busy as ever as i have medical appointment tomorrow :( as well as physio again on wednesday not looking forward to either lol but i need to do them. at least i can try and relax after

yesterday (wednesday and today) thursday was doing my teaching assistants course which i am doing really well in at the moment, got my exam results back this week from my numeracy and literacy we did 2 weeks ago and i was well shocked by both my results (got 84% in numeracy and 97% in literacy) so i am making a lot of progress. had physio on wednesday as well needed to have ultrasound done on my ankle again :( as i;ve managed to hurt it again so been told to rest up til the weekend and not overdo it like i have been doing at the minute, worse thing is i don't like not doing things anymore since i have been doing all these courses and been keeping myself busy it just doesn't seem right sitting around doing "nothing" anymore but hey i gotta do as i'm told otherwise it won't get any better, i have also finally got my referral through for the back pain specialist as well only been waiting since january when my doctor referred me to them lol i ended up having to call them myself but hopefully now i will finally get something done for it :) well that's my update for this week. ]]> skit http://www.chatanplay.com/blogs/skit/16th-october-164/ http://www.chatanplay.com/blogs/skit/well-overdue-update-lol-oct-7-2008-163/ Tue, 07 Oct 2008 19:21:53 GMT well where do i start lol, the kids ended up having a boring summer holiday lol through me badly tearing the ligaments and tendons in the ankle have...
well where do i start lol, the kids ended up having a boring summer holiday lol through me badly tearing the ligaments and tendons in the ankle have spent the last 2 months recovering as well as having physio on it along with horrible exercises as well :( it was a nightmare having to rely on dozer to take me everywhere i needed to go as i couldn't drive either which i really did hate.

we did have one good day out when we went on a trip with the kids group their attend as we went to greenwood forest park near snowdonia that was a brilliant day apart from the fact i was on crutches lol gavin and the kids had the time of their lifes lol apart from a slight problem where my youngest daughter decided to do a disappearing act for half n hour.

we unfortunately didn't get to go n see our families down south due to my accident as well as lack of funds which didn't help but nevermind we will soon hopefully, kids couldn't wait to go back to school the 1st week of september (i know lol shocking) my yougest started her new school where her sister is and is actually enjoying it alot better then she did in her last school. neither of them enjoy the home work though on friday's lol. well ankle is finally starting to get better thankfully still have to be careful and can't overdo it with walking as it really kills the back of both my legs lol (feels lazy going to school in car) but started my teaching assistants course as well 3 weeks back just waiting to start my placement and am also doing webpage design lol not happy working in front page though lol but its a start i suppose lol and i've gone back for a 2nd attempt of my welsh classes as well lol so as you can see i'm being a busy lil bee lol. so at the moment that's all i can really say about the past 2 months :) ]]> skit http://www.chatanplay.com/blogs/skit/well-overdue-update-lol-oct-7-2008-163/ http://www.chatanplay.com/blogs/skit/week-ending-27th-april-94/ Sun, 27 Apr 2008 21:07:41 GMT This week hasn't been too bad, been having my tired spells but in general i haven't been too bad college wasn't too bad i am doing power point at the moment but the practice papers, i have done really well with working at the school as well voluntary, helping the teacher work with the kids, using the photocopier, doing differnt things with the kids as a group.

well week 2 went back to college on monday felt weird after being off for 3 weeks in all honesty, by lunch time i was ready to go home as i really didn't want to be there lol, had welsh class after which was fun as we had a recap session to see what we could all remember from the last few sessions with being off for the easter hols, started back helping out in school as well again this week and i am really enjoying being there i have only been doing half days this week uptil friday(today) as i haven't been feeling to brilliant but today just seemed to fly by for some strange reason lol.

i have also had a update from my mum on tuesday about my son william, it isn't looking too good at the moment as mum had to take him to the doctors this week as he's hasn't been to good and the doctor is saying that he has lost a lot of weight which isn't good, he has also said that he needs to be refered to a neurologist as well due the lack of co-ordination he has at the moment, he is recieving physiotheraphy twice a week at home and occupational theraphy have come in and fitted all new banisters up the stairs for him to beable to get around the house, he still is unable to do he's own personal hygiene himself at this present moment in time but hopefully he will beable to do this in the near future.

my youngest daughter also had her appointment with camh's this week as well, they are referring her to a behavioural management team for the moment and will re assess her in 6 months time to see if she needs to be tested for her behaviour then so now things are in motion hopefully things will start to improve :)

i have been helping out in school all week somedays only til lunch and other days the whole day and it has been great fun i have really enjoyed it alot, the kids have been working really hard as well to get all there work completed and a few of the ones that dont usually do hardly anything have surprised me and our temporary supply teacher today by finishing all their work as well as todays lol.

my kids are also starting to behave themselves abit more this week as since i've been back they have been lil madams to say the least and now they realise that i'm not going to play their little games they are not trying to get away with things like they used to before and they are actually helping me alot more around the house.
on thursday i went to my hospital appointment because of the problems with my foot and am now waiting for a physio appointment to come through for that now as my tendons have gone really tight on the bottom of the foot for the time being i have been told to use a wine type bottle filled with hot water to use as a aid for the bottom of the foot should be fun lol.

well back to college on monday and wesh classes :) and the rest of the week working in the school again so i'll update you all again next week hope you all have a great weekend and i should hopefully have some more news about my son as well

Well after a disater of a time over the easter holidays came relief today when my little darling daughters went back to school lol, it also included me going back to working in the class room as a voluntary helper :) it was a great day in all honesty as it has lifted some of the pressure of family life off my shoulders in a way as i had friends around me as well as concentrating on helping the children in the class room, in a way i know it's not the best way to deal with problems by burying my head into something else but it's better then dwelling on it and not being able to deal with everyday things that are going on around and that are slightly more important to me right now.

i know my son is poorly with everything that has been going on, my parents are there to take care of him as they are he's main carers but in away because of everything that has happened i feel slight guilt for not being able to do more to help with everything that has happened to him, i was there for the operation and stayed there until he was allowed home from hospital but in my heart i wanted to stay longer but was torn because of needing to get back here to be with my daughters as well, but hey that is what being a parent is all about i suppose. well i'm helping out in the school everyday this week until lunch time so at least i'll beable to get some sort of routinre back into my life unlike what i have been like lol

he went down to threatre on the 18th march for he's op and all went well apparently, they brought him round afterwards but then things went drastically wrong, littlen was rushed back down to threatre as he's stitches burst when the doctor made him cough instead of using the sucktion tube to get everything off he's chest whilst he had the breathing tube down he's throat still.

it took just over an hour for them to repair the problem and then told us that they nearly lost him whilst he was in there as he's heart stopped for 5 minutes and that the next 24 hours was going to be touch and go to whether he pulls through it all, he was in intensive care from the 18th right through til 24th march. they took him off the tube on the sunday night and he started breathing on he's own again thankfully.

on monday he was taken back up onto the ward but we found out that there were more problems with him due to the complications of the operation he has lost some of he's mobility mainly on he's left side and is now having to use a wheelchair at the moment and has to have intensive physio to help him regain the use of he's hand and walk properly, so only time will tell whether he is going to beable to do all the things he was able to do before the operation.

he was finally let out of hospital on the 31st to go home but we have had to make sure that we had everything in place before they would let him come home, i.e wheelchair and a commode to use because of the toilet being upstairs.

i am now back home as well and still wore out due to the nightmare of the 2 weeks me and my family have been through, we got back to my parents house just after 8ish and i was on the road just before 10pm to travel back here i got back just after 2am tuesday morning (yestersday) just thought i would update my blog as i heard some people have been asking where i am :) i will return to dc as soon as i am able to speak to you all soon xx ]]> skit http://www.chatanplay.com/blogs/skit/update-about-my-last-few-weeks-87/ http://www.chatanplay.com/blogs/skit/end-month-february-69/ Fri, 29 Feb 2008 18:49:03 GMT this month as gone really quick, college is going really well, once a week on a Monday i'm there all day and then do welsh classes after school as well.

on Tuesday mornings i do voluntary work in the school helping out the teacher in the class room which i find really enjoyable

Wednesday i do a course after school doing introduction to play work and i am finding it really interesting to do

Thursday i am doing a placement in the schools after school club working with the children and will be starting the other part of the course that i do on a Wednesday during the morning .

Friday i am doing work in the classroom in the mornings as i decided i am enjoying the experience of working with the children alot

so as you can see i am really keeping myself busy now and trying to overcome everything that has been going on in my life over the past 2 years now.

it is becoming a little easier the more busier i keep myself it's just the times i have to much time on my hands that it does tend to be a stage that i am still adjusting to at the moment.

I haven't been brilliant this week either :( I've been ill since last Tuesday didn't think much of it as i usually come down with something or other around this time of the year anyway lol. but since Monday i have been really bad to the extent that all I've wanted to do is sleep regardless of anything else which really hasn't been me recently. the kids have been little darlings for me thou as they have been looking after me whilst I've been like it apart from when they've needed feeding bless them or wanted a drink etc....

i phoned up the doctors on Monday as it got so bad that i was actually being sick after eating or taking my medication and the earliest they could get me in was on Thursday (today) so the last few days have been fun to say the least. saw doctor earlier and he told me i got this bug that's been going around and now been put on penicillin tablets as well as a different painkiller for my back as well due to the fact the other meds haven't been doing nowt to help ease the pain at all just lately :( so now i got another couple of weeks to allow these ones to get into my system as well now anyway apart from that this week hasn't been to bad all in all :) still waiting on another appointment date for my eldest son to go in and have his heart operation though as the previous one got cancelled on the day so am waiting for my mum to let me know when i am needed to be there again but this time she's going to call me as soon as he goes down to theatre instead so that i'm not spending out more with wasting time travelling and having to turn around again like before. need to keep an eye on my daughter as well as it looks like she's coming down with the same as me too :( ooh and dozer surprised me with a lovely cuddly puppy toy n card this evening bless him considering he don't do cards or things like that :P 2nd year running as well bless him :) well that's my update so far hope you all have a great evening n happy valentines day to everyone xxxxx ]]> skit http://www.chatanplay.com/blogs/skit/quick-update-feb-14-2008-66/ http://www.chatanplay.com/blogs/skit/well-overdue-update-lol-65/ Mon, 04 Feb 2008 17:30:07 GMT well where do i start lol....

it's been quite hectic here since the new year, the kids going back to school was great but the stress of constant revision wasn't. i was constantly feeling tired and wanting to sleep constantly everyday, even after having a decent nights sleep.

i went back down to sort all my things out down at my mum's after my garage was broken into in January and had to bin well over half of my things as they were either broken or damaged.

dozer came down at the weekend to help me with bringing what was left there back up with us and i managed to get a garage up here to store it in thankfully as the house was totally full with my things everywhere we couldn't move around that well :(

we have finally got the house nearly back to normal now, and i am feeling a little better then i was a few weeks ago when i was constantly getting chest infections .

i have had my text processing level 2 exam today as well fingers crossed i have passed it, we get our results in 5 to 6 weeks time.

my daughter hasn't been feeling to brilliant over the weekend due to having gastroenteritis and has been really poorly, she got sent home from school this morning as she couldn't keep her eyes open in class and was complaining her belly was hurting which is what she's been like all weekend, i have bearly had any sleep :(
the worse thing is though my eldest son is having a heart operation tomorrow morning at 8am and is going to be first down in theatre so as soon as the girls are ready and in school i have to get going on the motorway straight to the hospital.

Christmas has been really busy, with having to travel around to see all the families before Christmas it was along weekend leaving here on the Saturday morning and returning late on Christmas eve it was really hectic.

The kids really had a brilliant time over the whole week and where non stop with wanting to get involved with everything that was going on.

new years eve was great, the kids had a busy day throughout the whole day and then in the evening we arranged a dvd night for them with treats as well so that they could have a lovely night watching it with us lol we all sat down and watched high school musical2 the remix it was great apart from the kids deciding to get rowdy half way through but they soon settled down, i phoned my mum and dad just before midnight so i could be the first one on the phone to them to wish them all a happy new year and the kids wanted to speak to them as well. after the kids finally went to bed me n dozer needed to get Sarah's birthday presents out of he's car to wrap one of the item's for her to open then she had to find the clues when we gave her, her birthday card lol.

it was a brilliant day all in all as she had a little lunch time party with all of us as well as our neighbours little girl as well, afterwards dozer put her bike together for her and after lunch we all went to the local park with the kids and the dogs so that the girls could ride there bikes and Sarah could ride her's for the first time without any stabilisers and she did brilliantly for her first time without hardly any help which took me by surprise as she hasn't been on a bike for quite sometime.

today has been really hectic as well (Wednesday) due to the kids wanting to go out and ride there bikes but there hasn't been enough hours in the day with having to catch up on all the house work as well, as we also had a little one to look after as well on new years eve during the day and dozer decided to have him stay over night that night as well to give her mum a rest. the girls wanted to stay up so they could say happy new year to there nan n granddad when i phoned them as well, i think the bit my daughter loved was that she got wished a happy birthday as well at the same time lol
