What became of them

They were formed under the collective banner of Groove Groove Melody in 1988 by three Italian studio musicians in the Northern part of the country, Reggio Emilia. Daniele Davoli was a DJ at the Marabu Starlight Club, Mirko Limoni a technical and computer whizz and Valerio Semplici a clarinet teacher who played in Bologna's Music Orchestra.

Some history

Designed as project Austin Drawing Office project number 15, the Mini came about because of a fuel shortage caused by the 1956 Suez Crisis.Petrol was once again rationed in the UK, sales of large cars slumped, the market for German Bubble cars boomed. Leonard Lord, the somewhat autocratic head of BMC, reportedly decreed: 'God damn these b****y awful Bubble Cars. We must drive them off the road by designing a proper miniature car'. Sunday 29 and Monday 30 August sees Wings and Wheels return for 2010. The show is being held at Dunsfold Park near Guildford, Surrey and is open from 9am to 6pm.

The two day show will include a flying display, an assortment of motoring icons and a fairground. There will also be aviation and motoring simulators, trampolines, motorbike demonstrations and driving opportunities.

Mini Clubs ...

As some of you will know we own a classic mini - a mini clubman estate which are quite rare - it's been a labour of love which haven't touched for a while due to it not being kept at home. Mooosey has been a great help getting it to where it is now as I got very disheartened doing it on my own when I found so much welding needed to be done to it and was then just one problem after another.

Mooosey has now also caught the "mini madness" and his family have joined my family ...
