Today I had a visit from a distant relative through marriage, which was really nice. Helen (Leacy) and her Husband Anthony Lyon - such a lovely couple.

Our connection although very distant and only through marriage, was even more important as Helen and Anthony knew my Great Grandmother Ila Smith, and Flossie (Smith) and Ben Lewis and their boys, Ron & Ray Lewis.

It was so interesting talking to them regarding close family members to me, ...

So far I have been able to trace back through 11 generations - that's back to my great, great, great, great ,great, great, great, great, great grandparents - wow I hear you say - yes that is quite amazing considering I have only spent £36 one Genes Reunited site and one birth certificate.

The reason for this, has been because of all the contacts and distant family relatives I have made contact with. So I can not take all the credit, so a special thank you to David Edmunds my Great ...

Really pleased with my Genealogy investigations, I have found lots more information and added it to my tree - it's growing and growing. I started off with one tree and now realise it's better to break the tree's down into individual families - so that's my next task.

I'm over the moon that Bib2812 has joined our website as we found each other through Genes Reunited too she is my fifth cousin once removed - okay quite distant, but who cares she's a relative and that's all that counts ...
