Nana loved me and my brother we were her favorites lol, grandma favoured my sister
Was a bit of a snob was grandma and granddad ,grandma worked part time in a shoe shop
She was forever giving mum new shoes ,granddad couldn’t work ,as he had got his fingers trapped in something at work and they couldn’t sew them back on.
But they were snooty lol house all spick nspan not a speck of dust anywere
We couldn’t touch owt at grandmas lol nothing she would shout at us and march us out to the porch and make us watch granddad pottering about kidding to make something or trying to dig the garden with 1 hand
Only thing she would let us play with was her clothes pegs , and they were in a tin as well so they didn’t get dirty.
I know it sound funny but them were the days,

Another time I remember was all the family both sets of grandparent as well
Had gone to southport .
It had rained all morning but when we got there the sun was shining and it was hot
We were on a caravan park , slides. Swings ect ect , don’t play on the park we weas told it would be soaking , i new better tho didn’t I , sun drys up all the rain I thought so I went down the slide needless to say I was soaked ,did I get a hiding or what lol , but it was worth it.
