Drop in young blood donor numbers

In some foreign countries you are paid for giving blood. I'm not saying that's the way forward here but for people to say they were too busy to do it is an excuse isn't it? Are blood donor sessions carried out in the evenings? Quite frankly there's nothing to it - surely people can give up 15 minutes a couple of times a year to give blood - after all - we never know when we might need some ourselves.

You even get a nice cup of Tea and Biscuits afterwards :) I think the numbers would definateley increase if there was a monetary reward, but for me, I think its more of knowing when and where to go.

I've given blood in the past, but must admit, cant remember the last time I saw any Donor stations around. If there are some in my area, it isn't very well advertised.

If you don't know about it, its hard to attend, but as you say Bib, it takes no time at all, doesn't hurt like some people think, and yep, one day, you may need some of the elixir of life yourself ;)
