Anterior Cervical Dissection and Fusion

As some of you will know, several years ago, I slipped Two Discs in my neck. This happened by me simply reaching over to turn the alrm clock of one morning.

I struggled for many months with the pain, only to be told by Doctors that I had pulled a muscle and it would soon stop hurting.

Days, weeks and months went on, and nothing improved. I was put on traction, had acupuncture, heat tratment, and a range of other teatments.

Finally, my employers paid for me to have an independant check up, and it was revealed that my neck was in tatters. Spondylosis, and bone degeneration had been going on for years undetected.

Within a matter of weeks after seeing the specialist Orthpaedc surgeon, i went under the knife.

The operation lasted over 12 hours, and well, my neck has been worse if anything ever since. The irony is, Im told that i now have to live with the pain, nothing further can be done to put it right. As a result of this, im now on long term Morphene for pain management, and earlier today, i managed to somehow twist my neck, resulting in me not being able to move very well withoug being in pain.

ANyways, thought Id share this video, of the type of procedure I had done. The only difference is the main cut on my neck, was vertivcal instead of horizontal as shown here.

For anyone who has ever had spinal surgery, and found it hasnt helped, You have my sympathy, i Know how much pain and discomfort it gives.
